NMK es la abreviación de “Now Mankind Knows“, lo que en español se traduce a “Ahora la Humanidad lo Sabe“. El sonido es una mezcla entre At the Gates, Symphony X, Carcass, Dark Tranquillity y unificándolo con nuestra propia escencia. Un melodeath con toques progresivos, mezclando una voz melódica con guturales, instrumentación pesada, riffera, y técnica a la vez.

NMK, Now Mankind Knows. Banda de Melodic Death Metal de Lima Peru, liderada por Nathalie Markoch.

El concepto de la banda (y el por qué de su fundación) es el ser un catalizador (mediante la música y el arte) de evolución de consciencia y sanación utilizando diversas herramientas basadas en metafísica y alta aquimia que son parte inherente del ser humano pristino, cuando recuerda que está en Unidad con todo la Fuente de Todo lo Orgánico que Existe.

Fundamos la banda en el 2015-2016, lanzamos nuestro primer single “Lack of Judgment” 2017 y nuestro album debut “Ravenous Spectre” en el 2018. Este fue grabado en los “Shredded Sound Studios” en Perú por Adolfo Gazzo, y masterizado en los “Fascination Street Studios” en Suecia por Tony Lindgren. (más detalles en la sección Discografía).

Luego de 4 años de haber estado en hiatus total, decidimos regresar a la música en el 2024. Primero en tocadas en vivo y próximamente retomando el flujo creativo para lanzar nuevo material. NMK is an Abbr. of “Now Mankind Knows”. Our sound is a mixture of At the Gates, Symphony X, Carcass, and Dark Tranquillity unified with our own authentic essence. A melodic death metal sound with progressive touches, mixing a powerful melodic voice with gutturals, heavy and technical instrumentation.

The band’s concept (and the why of its foundation in the first place) is to become a catalyst (through music and art) for the evolution of consciousness and healing, using diverse tools based on metaphysics, alchemy, and changes in perception, which are an inherent part of Pristine Humananity when we remember we are in Oneness with The Source of All That is Organic.

We founded the band in 2015 – 2016, released our first single “Lack of Judgment” in 2017, and our debut album “Ravenous Spectre” in 2018. This was recorded at “Shredded Sound Studios” in Peru by Adolfo Gazzo, and mastered at “Fascination Street Studios” in Sweden by Tony Lindgren. (more details in the Discography section).

After 4 long years of silence, we decided to make a comeback in 2024. First at live shows, and then resuming the creative flow to release new material. We hope you feel inspired to explore that which we all are, our vastness, that which we have forgotten. (More info about us in the Bio section).

The sound and main foundational concept behind our music is centered on being a catalyst for the evolution of human consciousness. Using not only the music we produce but also the artwork, we create a medium in which the listener is exposed to the organic expression of our individuations in full authenticity. That, in itself, is powerful enough to be an inspiration for everyone who is receptive to it, to let go of that which is obsolete, that which is limiting our true essence as multidimensional beings.

Now Mankind Knows means just that. Pristine Humanity now knows that the way forward can only come when we remember we are One with the Only One. When we remember how to command our space, reclaim our organic components, and unlearn what was given to us as knowledge that was corrupted and artificial. To empower ourselves and each other to live in community, but in honoring diversity. There is so much we would like to share, and that is why NMK was founded.
